JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur is aglow with over 50 significant sites lit up in honor of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata’s 185th birth anniversary.
The Steel City pays homage to its namesake with a series of events reflecting on his enduring legacy.
The colorful displays at heritage buildings, places of worship, and roundabouts not only beautify the city but also symbolize the commemoration of a visionary.
Tata Sons Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, emphasized the theme ‘Technology for People and Planet’ during the festivities.

The two-day visit included meetings with Tata Workers Union officials and the inauguration of an exhibition at Steelennium Hall, focusing on the integration of technology in sustainable development.
A special illumination was inaugurated by Chandrasekaran at Jubilee Park, set to remain until March 5, as part of the Founder’s Day celebrations.
The program’s highlights included floral tributes inside Tata Steel works and at Postal Park in Bistupur, alongside a pageantry parade underscoring the theme.
