JAMSHEDPUR – City residents and dignitaries came together at Postal Park in Bistupur to celebrate the 185th birth anniversary of Jamshedpur’s founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

N Chandrasekaran, Tata Sons Chairman, likened his visits to Jamshedpur to visiting a temple, underscoring the city’s central significance to the Tata Group.

During the event, Chandrasekaran reaffirmed the Tata Group’s commitment to upholding Jamsetji Tata’s vision of industry as a catalyst for positive change.

The Tata Group’s diversification into areas like semiconductors and energy, with a focus on green initiatives, was highlighted as key to its sustainable growth strategy.

He said that plans to increase steel production to 30 million tons soon, and 40 million tons within a decade, reflect the Group’s ambition for sustainable expansion.

Chandrasekaran acknowledged the support of Jamshedpur’s citizens, emphasizing the Tata Group’s dedication to the city’s prosperity and thanking residents for their ongoing support.

A rally, symbolizing the Tata Group’s commitment to Jamshedpur’s development, concluded the Founder’s Day celebration, reinforcing the strong bond between the city and the conglomerate.

The city’s festive decorations and the assembly of Tata Steel MD TV Narendran, State Health Minister Banna Gupta, and others, paid homage to JN Tata’s enduring legacy.
