Sawan Celebrations in Jamshedpur with Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Ritual
Jamshedpur observes Sawan month with Sahastraghat Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba at Sakchi Shiv Mandir, attracting hundreds of devotees.
JAMSHEDPUR – The auspicious occasion of Sawan month was observed in Jamshedpur with traditional fervor.
For the second consecutive year on Tuesday, Sahastraghat Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba was performed with Gangajal originating from Sultanganj.
The ritual took place at the Sri Sri Sakchi Shiv Mandir located in Sakchi Bazar.
On this occasion, hundreds of devotees congregated at the temple to take part in the ceremony.
The attendees performed the Sahastraghat Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba using the holy water of the Ganges.
Starting at 10 am, the Shiv Pujan was conducted, followed by the Sahastraghat Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba with 12 thousand liters of Gangajal brought in a tanker from Sultanganj.
At 5 pm, a special decoration and Mahaarti was performed for Bhole Baba.
Throughout the day, the temple resonated with the chants of "Om Namah Shivay," "Jai Jai Bholenath," and "Har Har Mahadev," imbuing the surrounding area with a religious fervor.
Devotees thronged the temple all day, reflecting the profound religious sentiment and cultural richness of the community.
