FLN Implementation Shared by Jamshedpur Schools at TEEP Session

Gulmohur High School and Tarapore School showcase FLN strategies to 14 TEEP schools

Tata Education Excellence Programme organized a sharing session on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy implementation for local schools.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Tata Education Excellence Programme hosted a session where two local schools shared their Foundational Literacy and Numeracy implementation strategies.

The event, held on August 12, 2024, at Tata Auditorium in Gulmohur School’s Primary Wing, brought together 39 participants from 14 TEEP schools.

Educators and school leaders gathered to learn about FLN implementation experiences.

The session began with traditional lamp lighting and a prayer ceremony.

Priti Sinha, Principal of Gulmohur High School, presented their FLN implementation process.

She outlined steps from initial research and planning to teacher training and classroom execution.

Sinha demonstrated various methods for integrating arts, music, sports, and technology into FLN lessons.

Students and teachers provided live demonstrations of these integrated teaching techniques.

Ishita Dey, Principal of Tarapore School, simplified complex FLN concepts through storytelling and practical examples.

She explained different assessment types and facilitated discussions on formative and adaptive evaluations.

Dey showcased Tarapore School’s assessment methods aligned with National Education Policy and FLN guidelines.

Both schools exhibited innovative teaching aids, illustrating practical classroom applications of FLN concepts.

Participants expressed plans to implement newly acquired knowledge in their respective schools.

This session aimed to accelerate NEP implementation across participating institutions.

The Tata Education Excellence Program, initiated in 2003, focuses on enhancing education quality in Jamshedpur area schools.

TEEP employs a calibrated approach based on the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria.

Schools voluntarily engage in this year-long program, culminating in an assessment of their educational excellence.
