Major reshuffle sees J P Nadda appoint Babulal Marandi as Jharkhand BJP chief alongside new state presidents in Telangana, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh.
RANCHI – The national president of Bhartiya Janata Party, J P Nadda, has announced a significant reshuffle within the party.
In Jharkhand, former Chief Minister and MLA Babulal Marandi has been appointed as the new state president of the party, effective immediately.
State Leadership Changes
The change was announced by the party’s national general secretary, Arun Singh, on Tuesday.
The appointment of Marandi is one of several key changes in state leadership across the country.
In Telangana, MP and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has been made the new state president, replacing Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Additionally, Etela Rajender has been assigned the chairperson of BJP’s election management committee in Telangana.
New Appointments in Punjab and Andhra Pradesh
Sunil Jakhar, the former Punjab Congress chief, will now head BJP in the state, marking another significant leadership change.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, D. Purandeswari has been appointed as the state’s BJP president.
The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy, will now serve as a Member of the National Executive Committee.
