Sanjeev Bharadwaj elected president of Press Club of Jamshedpur

Sanjeev Bharadwaj is the first elected president of Press Club of Jamshedpur. After two other nominees Santosh Kumar and Ravi Kumar withdrew their nomination and he was elected uncontested.

Jamshedpur: The election of the president of Press Club of Jamshedpur was held on Friday in the auditorium of Chamber of Commerce in Bistupur. In the election, Sanjeev Bhardwaj Rintu was elected unopposed as the president.

The election process was going on for the last two days. Tree members had filed nominations for the post of President, which included the names of Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Santosh Kumar, Ravi Jha.

Two members Santosh Kumar and Ravi Jha voluntarily accepted the withdrawal in the presence of Chief Electoral Officer IK Ojha, Assistant Election Officer Vikas Kumar Srivastava, Kulwinder Singh, Raghuvanshmani Singh, Pramod Jha and Magistrate Anish Kumar deputed by the district administration.

After this, in the presence of all the members present, Sanjeev Bhardwaj was elected unopposed as the chairman and an announcement to this effect was made.

On this occasion, the outgoing President B Srinivas, General Secretary Gulab Singh and founder President Brajesh Singh were present. All conveyed their best wishes to the elected president of Press Club of Jamshedpur and talked about unity in the journalist fraternity and vowed to work in the best interest of journalists.

Committee announcement and salutation program would be held on Sunday.

The newly elected chairman will announce the new committee on Sunday.

After the announcement of the committee, the certificate will be distributed to all the committee members.
