Anil Kumar Mishra Takes Charge as South Eastern Railway’s New GM
Anil Kumar Mishra, an Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers officer, has been appointed as the General Manager of South Eastern Railway.
JAMSHEDPUR – Renowned Indian Railways officer, Anil Kumar Mishra, has officially assumed the position of General Manager of South Eastern Railway.
Previously, Mishra held the title of Additional General Manager at the North Eastern Railway in Gorakhpur.
He is a distinguished officer from the 1987 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) and has been serving the Indian Railways since 1989.
Throughout his extensive career, Mishra has occupied several crucial roles.
Among them are Principal Chief Signal Telecommunication Engineer at N.E. Railway, Divisional Railway Manager at Dhanbad, East Central Railway, Director (Telecom) at RDSO, Lucknow, Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer (Project) at West Central Railway, and Chief Signal Engineer at North Central Railway.
Mishra holds impressive academic credentials, including a degree in Electronic & Communication Engineering from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee).
In addition, he has an M.Tech. from IIT Delhi, obtained prior to his induction into the Indian Railways.
Mishra’s skill set extends to his global experiences in training, which include attending the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) in Hong Kong and the High-Speed Railway in Japan.
Apart from these, Mishra has also made visits to China, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Norway for the inspection of the Mobile Train Radio Communication System.
To further augment his professional expertise, he received training in SDA at Bocconi Business School in Milan, Italy.
With his wide-ranging experience and dedication to the field, Mishra is set to usher in a new phase of growth and development for the South Eastern Railway.
