AAP Pleads for Clean Water Supply in Shantinagar Sopodera
The Aam Aadmi Party, led by East Jamshedpur Unit’s president, requests clean water connections for Shantinagar Sopodera, warning of protests if demands are unmet.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Mahanagar team of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took action today, under the guidance of East Jamshedpur Assembly Speaker, Abhishek Kumar.
The team submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner concerning the provision of clean drinking water connections to the residents of Shantinagar Sopodera Parsudih, in the Uttari Kali Mati Panchayat.
Residents have been deprived of their basic right to clean drinking water since 2016.
Local residents have deposited a fee of Rs 450 to the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project Department for clean drinking water.
Despite multiple appeals to the mukhiyas department heads public representatives the problem remains unresolved.
Notably, clean drinking water is being supplied by the District Water Supply Department at a mere distance of 100 meters.
Through the memorandum, the AAP demanded an immediate solution to this issue.
If the problem remains unresolved, the party warned of impending protests.
Several prominent AAP members attended the occasion, including Mahanagar Secretary Ramesh Prasad, District Co-Secretary Mangal Karua, and Mahanagar Vice President Santosh Bhagat.
