NCC’s 37th Battalion Holds Joint Yoga Camp with Veterans at Cooperative College, Jamshedpur

800 cadets, veterans and Jai Ho team members participated in a Yoga Camp led by Lt. Col. Saurabh Mishra of NCC’s 37th Battalion, highlighting unity and wellness.

JAMSHEDPUR – A Yoga Camp was organized on the grounds of Cooperative College on the occasion of International Yoga Day, under the leadership of Lt. Col. Saurabh Mishra and SM Subedar Vijay, Commanding Officer of the 37th Battalion of NCC.

The camp saw joint participation from about 800 cadets (SD & SW) of the Ex-Servicemen Council East Singhbhum, Jai Ho team members, and Army NCC.

Chief guest Dr. Amar Singh, along with ANOs from various schools and colleges, were present.

The camp commenced promptly, maintaining complete discipline.

Trained yoga instructors led the practice of various types of yoga to promote physical health.

The Commanding Officer, expressing gratitude for the veterans’ participation, shared the history of the camp’s inception in September 2014.

Today, June 21, is celebrated worldwide as International Yoga Day.

Apart from NCC staff, veterans Sushil Kumar Singh, Dr. Kamal Shukla, Dinesh Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Devendra Singh, Govind Rai, Rajesh Kumar, Ajay Keshari, B. K. Tripathi, Devendra Tripathi, Jaideep Das, Surendra Maurya, Vivek Kumar Singh, Pramod Kumar, Devanand Singh Anil, and Maurya Mahesh Kumar Subhash Chandra Mahesh Kumar Mahesh Joshi with his wife contributed to the success of today’s camp.
