Meeting Held to Address Drinking Water, Sanitation Issues in Bagbera and Potka
Sanjib Sardar, MLA, led a meeting to discuss and demand solutions for drinking water and sanitation issues in Jamshedpur’s rural areas under the Potka constituency.
JAMSHEDPUR – A crucial meeting was held under MLA Sanjib Sardar’s guidance at Circuit House concerning the drinking water scarcity and sanitation problems in rural zones near Jamshedpur’s urban regions, falling within the Potka assembly constituency.
A demand letter outlining these pressing issues was compiled and presented at the meeting and subsequently handed over to JUSCO management.
Notably, regions including Bagbera in Potka Assembly constitutency have turned into dry zones, with JUSCO management providing water via tankers.
However, given the scorching heat, the supplied water quantity is insufficient, thereby necessitating a rise in the number of water tankers.
Several community leaders, including Zilla Parishad, Mukhiyas, and Panchayat Samiti members, attended the meeting at Circuit House, where this demand was made to JUSCO.
MLA Sanjib Sardar stated that JUSCO has agreed to increase the number of tankers to mitigate the drinking water crisis.
In addition to this, the importance of drain cleaning before the monsoon season and efficient waste disposal was discussed, and completion of these tasks will shortly be underway.
