Jamshedpur SSP Holds Meeting with Police In-Charges, Emphasizes Enhanced Surveillance

SSP Prabhat Kumar from Jamshedpur met with local police station in-charges, focusing on improving highway patrols, monitoring Naxalite activities, and cracking down on absconding criminals.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar held crucial meetings with in-charges of police stations across urban and rural areas in the district. The focus of these meetings was to enhance crime prevention and arrest of absconding criminals.

During the meeting with station heads (SHOs) from rural areas, SSP Kumar emphasized the importance of vigilant patrolling on highways and in zones bordering other districts or states. The aim is to prevent criminals from evading arrest by crossing district or state lines and to curb inter-state crime.

The SHOs were also instructed to keep a watchful eye on the activities of Naxalites.

Further, DSP level officers were advised to maintain continuous monitoring.

In light of absconding criminals, the SSP urged law enforcement to intensify information gathering efforts to facilitate their capture.

Post discussions with rural area SHOs, SSP Kumar convened a meeting with the SHOs of urban areas.

The primary agenda of this meeting included immediate apprehension of organized crime offenders, extortionists, and absconding criminals within the urban areas.

The police were also instructed to monitor social media closely and crack down on absconding criminals who are continuously evading arrest.

SSP Kumar ordered the arrest and incarceration of such offenders.

He also emphasized the need to compile a list of criminals recently released from jail and identify those who are exploiting their white-collar status to perpetrate crime with assistance from other criminals.
