Vashu Gupta Escapes Upset in TATA STEEL AITA Tennis Tournament 2023

Third seed Vashu Gupta survives a scare in the TATA STEEL AITA Men’s National Ranking 1 Lac Prize Money Tennis Tournament 2023, beating unseeded Advik Natekar.

JAMSHEDPUR – In the thrilling final qualifying rounds of the TATA STEEL AITA Men’s National Ranking 1 Lac Prize Money Tennis Tournament 2023, third seed Vashu Gupta survived a real scare against an unseeded opponent, Advik Natekar.

The tournament, held at the synthetic courts of the JRD Tata Sports Complex, witnessed some exceptional tennis.

Natekar seemed to control the initial few games, but Gupta’s experience ultimately prevailed, not allowing Natekar to secure another upset. Gupta narrowly won the match with scores of 7-5, 6-4.

Besides Gupta, the qualifiers advancing to the main draw include Atharva Sharma, Shourya Manik, Raj Rishi Keshari, Sagar Kalyan, Parth Somani, Suyash Kumar, and Prosenjit Paul.

The inauguration ceremony for the main tournament is scheduled to be held tomorrow at the JRD Tata Sports Complex at 08:30 am.
