Appu Tiwari Encourages Hindu Youth to Take Pride in Sanatan Dharma and Mandirs

Brahmin Yuva Shakti Sangh’s Appu Tiwari advocates for Hindu youth to appreciate their cultural heritage and uphold the sanctity of mandirs.

JAMSHEDPUR – Appu Tiwari, the Convener of the Brahmin Yuva Shakti Sangh, urged Hindu youth on Thursday to take pride in their Sanatan Dharma roots, traditions, philosophy, and the country’s rich legacy of mandirs.

In his message, Tiwari emphasized the importance of understanding their rich culture and a life centered on Dharma.

He urged that these learnings can be beneficial not just in preserving heritage, but also enhancing everyday life.

Tiwari said that Hindu youths should learn about their rich culture and dharma-based life to ensure that they not only preserve it, but also benefit in their day to day life.

He said that although Sanatan dharma puts no restrictions on individuals, it does not mean that we should have “anything goes” and “we can do anything in mandirs” attitude.

He also denounced the attemptss to violate the sanctity of the Mandirs.

He said that mandirs are not only places of worship for us, but are a place where our deities reside.

Mandirs are also the treasure of our culture and traditions and any attempt to sully them is an affront to the Hindu community.

Tiwari also advised youths to not do anything that violates the sanctity of the mandirs and their spiritual importance.

He said that although Sanatan dharma gives full freedom to everyone to choose his way of connecting with the god, mandirs do have sacredness that should not be violated.

He advised young boys and girls to ensure that they are properly dressed when they visit mandirs and follow the discipline and dharmic conduct when present on the mandir premises.

He said that Brahmin Yuva Shakti Sangh will run a campaign to save the Sanatan civilization and culture of the country in coordination with the pujaris of mandirs and a new beginning will be made.

He said that ideally, although not mandatory, Indian clothes should be worn during puja.

He said that people should be discouraged from entering mandirs wearing clothes that are unsuitable for a mandir.

While acknowledging the freedom given by Sanatan Dharma in connecting with God, he insisted that the sanctity of mandirs should remain intact.

Tiwari proposed a decent dress code for mandir visits, ideally traditional Indian attire, to uphold the respect and dignity of these sacred spaces.

He expressed his appreciation for the increasing trend among youth to wear saffron gamcha, a traditional scarf, and suggested similar sartorial choices like dhoti, kurta, and sarees for mandir visits.

Appu Tiwari also said that Sanatanis should also learn from other religions and should take initiative on this front to have some sort of a decent dress code.

He said that similarly dhoti and kurta or a simple suitable dress saree should be chosen for entering a mandir.

He said that respecting mandirs and their importance is crucial for the progress and preservation of Sanatan Dharma.

Tiwari said that a conference to discuss the issue would be organized by Brahmin Yuva Shakti Sangh soon and the issue would be discussed threadbare.
