Security Forces Thwart Potential Naxalite Attack in Chaibasa, Seize and Destroy Five IEDs

A rigorous search operation led by security forces uncovered and neutralized five IEDs planted by Naxalite organization, CPI Maoist, in Chaibasa.

CHAIBASA – The continuous search operation by the security forces on Monday foiled a naxal bid to target them by IEDs in Tonto police station area in West Singhbhum.

The search led to the successful recovery of five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) Monday

The crucial search operation has been underway in Chaibasa, launched by the security forces against the Naxalite organization, CPI Maoist.

These explosives were found in the border areas of Tumbahaka and Anjedbeda in Tonto police station area and Kuida and Maradiri of Goilkera police station area.

The IEDs, originally planted with the intent of targeting security forces, have since been neutralized.

Considering the potential threat, the IEDs were immediately destroyed on the spot for the sake of public safety. The explosives varied in size – one of 20 kg, one of 12 kg, one of 6 kg and two explosives of 5 kg.

The continuous and proactive efforts of the security forces have significantly thwarted the potential devastation that these explosives could have caused.

The situation in the region remains under the tight vigilance of the security forces.
