Central Public School, Adityapur Celebrates Earth Day 2024 with Ecological Activities

Students Embrace Nature by Creating Seed Balls and Planting Saplings

On April 22, 2024, Central Public School in Adityapur commemorated Earth Day by engaging its middle wing students in eco-friendly activities aimed at fostering a deeper connection with nature. The school’s Green Zone became a hub of youthful enthusiasm as students and teachers came together for a meaningful celebration.

JAMSHEDPUR – Central Public School, Adityapur marked Earth Day with a series of environmental activities involving the enthusiastic participation of its middle wing students.

The day was dedicated to hands-on ecological education and promoting a green mentality among the young learners.

Under the supervision of Fago Hansda, the school gardener, students prepared seed balls by combining seeds with a mixture of clay and compost in a 1:4 ratio.

These seed balls were then carefully placed under shade within the school grounds to sprout.

“It’s an engaging way to teach children about the growth process and importance of plants in our ecosystem,” explained Hansda.

In addition to creating seed balls, students also took part in planting new saplings and watering existing plants in the school’s designated Green Zone.

This area, often a place for students to learn about botany and the environment, was bustling with activity as students learned practical skills in plant care.

“This initiative not only beautifies our school but also instills a sense of responsibility and love for the environment in our students,” noted one of the participating teachers.

The activities were designed to be enjoyable and educational, making the celebration a memorable event for everyone involved.

By participating in these activities, students took meaningful steps toward contributing to environmental conservation, echoing the global call to action that Earth Day represents.

The enthusiasm displayed by the students highlights a growing awareness and commitment to environmental issues within the younger generation.
