Chandil police arrest murder case accused Aslam Khan, firearm seized
Jamshedpur: A team of Chandil police officers arrested a notorious criminal, Aslam Khan, in the Kapali thana out-post region on Friday, following a tip-off.
The accused was apprehended with a motorbike and a loaded sophisticated gun in his possession.
According to the SDPO of Chandil, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Aslam Khan was wanted in connection with a murder case reported to the Bagbera thana.
In addition to the murder case, the suspect was also sought for multiple serious criminal offenses reported to police stations in the Seraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum districts.
According to the police, they received a tip off and promptly formed a team under the command of Kapali TOP in-charge Sunil Kumar Bhokta, which led to the capture of the culprit.
According to the police, Aslam Khan had shot Mohammed Shahnawaz on February 20 of this year near the Tatanagar station area.
Shahnawaz, a resident of Parsudih, was wounded in the incident and later succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
