JRD Tata’s 119th Birth Anniversary Celebrated with Air Modeling Show in Jamshedpur

A unique air modeling show for schoolchildren marked the 119th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata in Jamshedpur, fostering the aviation spirit.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city’s skies became a canvas for an air modeling show on the occasion of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s 119th birth anniversary.

In Gopal Maidan, schoolchildren enthusiastically took part in the event, which aimed to instill knowledge about aviation.

Expert guidance was provided to the young enthusiasts about the intricacies of aircraft.

Ashutosh Pandey, Tata Steel Officer, explained that the children’s queries about aircraft motors, altitude capabilities, and types of planes were addressed during the show.

To make the event more interactive and competitive, an aircraft flying competition was also held.

Winners of the competition were rewarded with a unique opportunity to experience flight.

JRD Tata, fondly remembered as the father of Indian aviation, was India’s first licensed pilot.

His passion led to the creation of Air India in 1932, India’s first domestic airline, which later evolved into a leading international carrier under his leadership.

Today, JRD Tata’s legacy continues to inspire India’s industrial and aviation sectors.
