MEDININAGAR – Chhatarpur Police arrested a man in possession of a stolen motorcycle during a routine vehicle check near the police station. The incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon when officers were conducting a check for helmets, triple riding, and vehicle documentation.
The suspect, identified as Love Kumar Rajak, a resident of Khodhi village, was riding a black Pulsar bike (registration number CG 13 N 1733) without a helmet. Upon spotting the police checkpost, he attempted to flee. However, officers apprehended him after a brief chase.
Recovery of Stolen Vehicles
During interrogation, the suspect confessed that the motorcycle he was riding was stolen. He further disclosed the location of another stolen scooter hidden at his residence. Police subsequently recovered the scooter from his house based on his statement.
Legal Proceedings Initiated
Station Officer Prashant Prasad confirmed that the accused was arrested and has been sent to judicial custody. The investigation aims to trace other stolen vehicles or accomplices linked to the case.
