Key Points:

JAMSHEDPUR – Former BJP state president Dr. Dineshanan Goswami criticizes the JMM-led coalition government’s record on women’s empowerment during village visits.
Dr. Goswami addressed large gatherings in Patpur panchayat villages on Tuesday.
He focused his remarks on the government’s unfulfilled promises to women.
The BJP leader accused the Hemant Soren administration of failing to deliver on its pledge.
Initially, the JMM had promised Rs. 2,000 monthly to women for household expenses.
However, this commitment remains unmet, according to Dr. Goswami.
In contrast, he highlighted the BJP’s proposed Gogo Didi scheme.
This initiative aims to provide Rs. 2,100 monthly to each woman.
Dr. Goswami claimed JMM leaders are agitated by this proposal.
He asserted that opposing the Gogo Didi scheme equates to opposing women’s empowerment.
Furthermore, he accused the JMM of not wanting women to become self-reliant.
The BJP leader emphasized his party’s commitment to uplifting various sections of society.
These include the poor, farmers, laborers, youth, and women.
Meanwhile, other BJP leaders also addressed the village gatherings.
Baptu Sao, Kamlesh Sao, Mihir Dalai, and Kavindra Nath Kundu spoke at various meetings.
On the other hand, Dr. Goswami’s tour aimed to connect with rural voters.
The focus on women’s issues suggests it will be a key campaign theme.
Moreover, the BJP seems to be positioning itself as a champion of women’s causes.
This strategy appears designed to challenge the JMM’s rural support base.
