Govt keen on revival of Tayo, Incab and airport development: CM

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on Monday said that his government is keen on ensuring revival of sick and closed industries including Tayo and Incab as well as expediting airport development in the vicinity of Jamshedpur and is looking at ways to make both possible.

Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, traveled to Jamshedpur to officially launch the expansion plan for Tinplate Company of India Ltd.

He spoke to the media here and covered a range of state development-related topics during his visit.

The CM said that the industry department is discussing the revival of closed companies like Incab and Tayo and a decision will be made shortly over whether to give the company back to their original owners or pursue alternative options.

He continued by saying that his administration is dedicated to developing comprehensive policies for the growth of the state and is trying to promote tourism in the state too.

Concerns over the Jamshedpur airport were also addressed by the Chief Minister, who stated that negotiations with the union government are underway to look at the possibility of starting passenger or freight flights from the Dhalbhumgarh airstrip.

He said that the government is doing all possible to guarantee that all industries function well, that new ones are founded, and that existing ones grow.

Both the district government officials and the executives of Tata Steel greeted Mr. Soren upon his arrival in Jamshedpur.

Tata Steel Vice President (CS) Chanakya Chowdhary and Tata Steel MD TV Narendran welcomed him.

He acknowledged Tata Steel’s efforts to encourage industrial development in the region and pledged the support of his administration for further progress.

The expansion of TCIL, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, is anticipated to have a substantial positive impact on the regional economy and provide job opportunities.
