Jamshedpur: A video of a langur joining the last journey of its owner has gone viral on social media. The langur’s behavior has left everyone in Kalapathar village of Chakulia block surprised and touched.

Gaurang Chandra Pal, an 80-year-old resident of the village, passed away, and his body was kept on a cot for outsiders to have the last darshan.

While the villagers were offering flowers on the dead body of Gaurang Pal, a langur suddenly appeared and also offered flowers on the dead body like others.

The langur then sat quietly near the dead body for a long time without disturbing anyone.

The villagers were amazed by the langur’s behavior and said that it remained near the dead body until the last journey of the dead body to the cremation ground.
