JAMSHEDPUR – District Mining Officer (DMO) Satish Kumar Nayak intensified efforts to curb illegal mining activities by seizing three sand-laden trucks in Haldipokhar under the Kowali police station on Sunday night. None of the vehicles had valid mining permits.
Trucks Confiscated During Late-Night Operation
The seized trucks, bearing registration numbers JH05 RT 1573, JH05A 1663, and one with unclear registration, were transporting sand without proper mining permits. The operation was part of a crackdown on illegal sand transportation in the area.
Repeat Offense in Haldipokhar
This is not the first such seizure by the DMO. A week earlier, another truck was caught and handed over to the police for operating without permits. Officer Nayak continues to take stringent action against violators to deter illegal mining in the region.
Legal Proceedings Initiated
The confiscated vehicles have been handed over to Kowali police, and a formal case has been filed under mining transport regulations. Authorities emphasize the need for lawful compliance in mineral transportation to safeguard natural resources.
