Jamshedpur all set to host Banga Utsav Kolhan on March 19 at Gopal Maidan

Poushari Banerjee, Badal Pal, and Shubhojit to perform, Purulia’s Chhau dancers will also showcase their art

Jamshedpur: The city is all set to host a grand Banga Utsav Kolhan on March 19 at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.

According to the organizers, all preparations are being completed for the grand event scheduled to be held on March 19.

The much-awaited Banga Utsav Kolhan will be organized at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.

Hundreds of people are anticipated to attend this event, which seeks to foster solidarity among Bengali-speaking citizens from the whole Kolhan region.

The organizers said in a press conference on Thursday that famous vocalists like Poushari Banerjee, Badal Pal, and Shubhojit will perform during the event, while Purulia’s Chhau dancers will also perform during the Utsav.

Also, this event will make it possible for the Kolhan region’s Bengali organizations and groups to congregate on one platform.

The organizers said that the main goals behind this important event are to advance the education of Bengalis and preserve and promote Bengali language and culture in the region. Almost 50,000 Bengali speakers are expected to participate in the event, according to the event’s organizers.
