Police solve Parsudih Promothnagar theft case, 2 arrested, 3 minors sent to reform home

Jamshedpur : In a major success, just on the eve of new year, Parsudih police have succeeded in cracking the theft case in which jewelry worth Rs. 3.5 lakh was stolen from a Pramoth Nagar house.

The police have arrested 2 persons, including a jeweller and have sent 3 minors to juvenile reform home. One accused is still absconding and out of reach of police. Police are launching raids to nab the absconding accused.

After neighbours reported the theft, an investigation was launched by the Parsudih police based on the statement of house owner Moitri Choudhary’s brother.

All of the accused were detained for investigation.

Additionally, among the detained suspects, there were four minors. Three of them have been sent to child reform homes. Two adult accused, including the goldsmith, have been sent to jail.

The police had detained the suspects in connection with the theft of 3.5 lakh from Moitri Choudhary’s home in Sopodera. The case was being investigated by Jamshedpur’s Parsudih police station.

The accused also included four minors.

S Verma, a goldsmith and resident of Sopodera, was charged by the police in this case after it was found that he had purchased stolen jewellery and had melted those.

The accused’s jewellery, additional items, and the stolen LCD TV have all been found by the police.

In this case, one of the accused is still at large, and the police are conducting searches for nabbing him.

Ram Kumar Verma, the in-charge of the Parsudih police station, said that Moitri Choudhary, a retired teacher, was not home when the theft took place.
