State level Chief Minister Invitational Football Tournament to kick off on Dec 26

Opening ceremony to be held at Birsa Munda Football Stadium, Morhabadi

Ranchi: A state-level Chief Minister Invitational Football Tournament will be kicked off on December 26 at Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi.

The final will be played on December 29.

This competition will feature teams from all four zones.

The competition will be conducted using a knockout cum league format.

For both the male and female categories, the winning team will receive a prize of $300,000, while the runner-up will receive a prize of $20,000 and the third-place team will receive a prize of $50,000 to $75,000.

All of these teams will also receive equipment.

The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs took decisions regarding this during the organizing committee meeting held at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Morabadi.

At the meeting, it was announced that the Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Moharabadi would make arrangements for the players’ lodging and meals.

The games of the State Level Chief Minister Invitational Football Competition will take place at Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi and Mandir Maidan in Ranchi.

Different committees have been formed to ensure that the tournament is conducted smoothly.

Mr. Dev Shankar Das, Under Secretary, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Manohar Topno, Former Hockey Olympian, Mr. Devendra Kumar Singh, Sports Consultant, Mr. Sanjit Kumar, District Sports Officer, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Executive Magistrate, and members nominated by the Superintendent of Police were in attendance.

In addition to many dignitaries, representatives of the Ranchi District Football Referee Association, Saroj Kumar Mahto and Mangal Minj, the Jharkhand Olympic Association, and the Sports Authority of India were also present.
