Congress to launch membership drive in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Congress party is all set to launch a membership drive in Jamshedpur with a view to strengthening itself at the grassroots level.

To discuss the modalities of the membership drive, a meeting was held today in the city. The meeting was presided over by the senior leader of the party, Baldev Singh.

The party leaders and office-bearers were advised to work hard to make the membership drive a success.

All officebearers were instructed to enroll at least 50 active members at each block level in the first phase in order to strengthen the organization at each booth and block.

The National General Secretary of Congress Tariq Anwar is scheduled to arrive in Jamshedpur on March 27. His visit was also discussed in the meeting.

Congress leader Baldev Singh said that during the membership drive, the goal would be to add loyal workers to the Congress party and to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
