Odisha JMM State President Anjani Soren received warmly in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Anjani Soren, the JMM President of Orissa State and sister of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, reached the Circuit House of Jamshedpur. She was accorded a warm welcome in the city.

Recently, she was in Rajganjpur, Orissa, where she had protested against the alleged occupation of tribal land by different companies in Odisha.

JMM sources said that their party president of Odisha unit, Anjani Soren, was kept under house arrest for three days at the Regency Hotel in Orissa by the district administration allegedly for raising voice to protect the interest of tribals.

She said that the administration stopped her from interacting with the local tribals.

Protests were held across Jharkhand by burning the effigy of the Odisha government to protect action against her.

After protests all around, she was released and brought up to Jharkhand border and let go.

Soon after that she arrived at the Circuit House in Jamshedpur.

Here JMM leaders and workers honored her by giving her a bouquet at the Circuit House.

During a conversation with the media, she said that the Odisha government wants to intimidate the tribals.

She said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will not be intimidated.

She said that her father Shibu Soren had fought for the rights of the tribals in Jharkhand and in the same way she will continue to fight for the rights of the tribals in Odisha too.

She said the way she was detained at the behest of the Odisha government was sad. She was not allowed to meet the villagers, she said.

She said that she would meet the Governor and submit a charter of demands. She said that JMM’s fight will continue in the future in support of the tribals living in Orissa.

During the meeting at the Circuit House, JMM Central Committee Member Pawan Kumar, JMM District Vice President Sagan Purti, Rajesh Kumar Samant and other JMM leaders and workers were present.
