32 workers, 5 children abandoned in Kerala will reach Jharkhand on Thursday

Personal intervention of CM Hemant Soren, Transport Minister Champai Soren and Labour Minister Satyanand works, all to arrive in Jharkhand on Thursday, India Cares and other volunteers come forward to help

Ranchi: 32 workers and their five children stuck in Kerala are now being brought back to Jharkhand. They are en route to Jharkhand and are expected to arrive in Bokaro Thursday morning.

All the workers were taken to Kerala in the name of employment.

However, they were not treated the way they were promised by those who took them there. They wanted to come back.

All the workers and their children are now being brought back to Jharkhand.

Most of the workers belong to Dumka district of Jharkhand.

All the workers and their children are now en route to Jharkhand. India Cares volunteers have taken care of their food. They are expected to reach Bokaro Thursday morning.

These workers and their children were helped by the personal intervention of the Chief Minster Hemant Soren and Transport Minister Champai Soren.

A journalist Sutibro Goswami had raised the issue. In a tweet he had raised the issue of 32 labourers having been taken to Kerala in the name of job and abandoned there.

All were looking for help to come back to Jharkhand. He had appealed to the Chief Minster, Transportl Minister Champai Soren and the DC of Dumka for their intervention.
