Driver and Assistant of Konark Bus assaulted in Bistupur

Jamshedpur: The driver and cleaner of Konark Travels bus were beaten up by two youths driving a car at Marine Drive Roundabout under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station.

The incident occurred at around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Two youths driving a car got down and started beating up the driver and his assistant.

The entire incident occurred in the middle of the road in full public view. The fracas continued for quite some time. A crowd soon gathered at the place.

Some locals amid the crowd intervened and separated the youths. The locals also informed the police.

The two youths, however, managed to slink away before the police could control the situation.

The police are probing the entire incident. It is still not clear why the tiff started.
