BJP worker shoots himself dead inside BJP office in Sakchi

Jamshedpur: A BJP worker Niranjan M allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at around 2:30 am on Wednesday inside BJP office situated near Sabzi Mandi under the jurisdiction of Sakchi police station.

As soon as the incident was reported, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

Local people told the police that Niranjan used to work as a line technician. Along with this, he was also a BJP worker.

When the police reached the Sakchi BJP office in the course of investigation, they saw that the pistol was in his hand.

The body of the deceased was found in the Mandal Office of BJP located at Sakchi vegetable market.

A relative of the deceased said that the deceased was unmarried. The nephew of the deceased too is a BJP leader.

The City SP S C Jat said that the case prima facie seems to be one of suicide, but the police are still investigating it. He said that the case would be resolved soon.
