Health Protection Week extended, shops allowed to remain open till 8 p.m.

Cinema halls, bars, multiplexes, restaurants to open with 50% capacity

Ranchi: The government of Jharkhand has extended the Health Protection Week in Jharkhand till further orders. The new orders include several further relaxations.

Owing to the spread of Corona, the state government had announced Health Protection Week from April 22, which has been extended from time to time. Keeping in view the improvement in the ground situation, relaxation is being allowed gradually. The government has issued a new guideline today.

The new guidelines envisage the following:

  • All shops in all districts will be able to open till 8 pm.
  • All government and private offices will open with 50% human resource.
  • All shops (including vegetable-fruits – grocery shops) will remain closed from 8 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Monday. Healthcare related establishments and milk stores will remain open.
  • Cinema halls, bars, multiplexes, restaurants will be able to open with 50% capacity.
  • Stadiums, gymnasiums and parks will be able to open.
  • All educational institutions will remain closed.
  • Anganwadi centers will remain closed but food items will be provided to the beneficiaries at home.
  • There will be a ban on the gathering of more than 50 people.
  • Banquet halls and community halls will be able to open but there will be a ban on the gathering of more than 50 people.
  • Religious places will remain closed for devotees.
  • The ban on the procession will continue.
  • Bus transport was allowed within the state.
  • The ban on interstate bus transport will continue.
  • Public transport vehicles can seat the number of passengers prescribed by the rules.
  • The examination will be conducted by the Government of India.
  • The examinations conducted by the state will be postponed.
  • The ban on fair and exhibition will continue.
  • E-pass will not be necessary to go from one district to another within the state by private vehicle.
  • To come to Jharkhand from another state or to go from Jharkhand to another state, e-pass will be necessary.
  • Those coming to Jharkhand from another state will not have a home quarantine for 7 days. Extensive testing of visitors will be done.
  • Wearing a mask in public places and maintaining social distance is mandatory.
  • In case of violation of the order, action will be taken by registering an FIR under the relevant section of the Disaster Management Act.
