17th straight day of no corona death in Jamshedpur, only 189 active cases now

Jamshedpur: The happy run of no coronavirus-caused death continued on 17th straight day for the city of Jamshedpur as well as East Singhbhum district. The death toll remained at 374 even on the 17th consecutive day i.e. Friday.

According to official data, on Friday 1,944 samples were tested. Out of these, 21 fresh coronavirus infection cases were detected. This takes the total number of infections in the district to 17,429 from 17,408 on Thursday.

On the other hand, 22 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the district. This takes the total recoveries in the district to 16,866.

The number of active coronavirus infection cases in the district came down by 1 to 189. It was 190 on Thursday.

The recovery rate in the district still remains at 97%, while the mortality rate has now come down to 2.1% from 2.2%. Positivity rate too remains at 3.9%.
