No corona deaths in Jamshedpur on 4th consecutive day, total deaths 370

18 fresh cases, 29 cured, mortality rate 2.2%, recovery rate 97%, positivity rate 4.4%

Jamshedpur: The streak of casualties caused by coronavirus pandemic in Jamshedpur seems to have stopped for now. For the last 96 hours, there have been no deaths reported from the city. Tuesday was the 4th day on the trot when corona did not cause any death in East Singhbhum district. The total death count remains at 370.

According to official data, however, 18 fresh cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the district taking the total number of infections to 16,825 in the district. On the other hand, 29 patients were also cured and discharged from the hospitals. The total number of recoveries in the district has now reached 16,254.

For now, the district has only 201 active corona cases.

As per official data, the district has tested, in all, 3,82,271 samples till date. Out of these only 16,825 samples have tested positive, while 3,65,446 samples have tested negative.

The recovery rate for the district is still static at 97%, while the mortality rate remains at 2.2%. Positivity rate has come down further to 4.4%.
