Third Anniversary Tribute to Galwan Martyr Ganesh Hansda

Honoring the hero, the community gathers to remember Constable Ganesh Hansda, who lost his life at the China border, in his hometown of Kasafalia village.

JAMSHEDPUR – Friday marked the third death anniversary of Constable Ganesh Hansda, who was martyred at the Galwan Valley on the China border.

His commemoration was celebrated in his native village the Kasafalia village of Bahragoda.

The tribute was attended by members of the martyr’s family, ex-servicemen, and local people, who participated in the function under the leadership of social worker Dr. Sanjay Giri, president of the Sampoorn Manavta Sansthan.

After paying homage to the martyr, a two-minute silence was observed, followed by the singing of the national anthem.

Prominent figures among those who paid tribute were ex-servicemen Sushil Kumar Singh, Sergeant Ashok Srivastava, JWO Surendra Maurya, Havaldar Ashutosh Singh, and teacher Ishwar Chandra Sharma.

The event coordination was handled by Mohammad Javed, and NCC children also participated.

In a special gesture, Satyaveer Rajak, Sub-Divisional Officer of Ghatshila, honored two talented children of the area after garlanding the martyr’s statue.

The school principal where Ganesh Hansda studied was honored by the family.

Dr. Sanjay Giri arranged a feast for thousands of people at the idol site and at home.

Contributing significantly to the success of the program were Ganesh’s elder brother Dinesh Hansda, Rasu, Kamlesh, and Umesh.
