No corona death on Sunday, total remains at 370

29 fresh cases, 47 cured, mortality rate 2.2%, recovery rate 97%, positivity rate 4.5%

Jamshedpur: Sunday brought a big relief for the people of Jamshedpur. There was no death caused by coronavirus for the second consecutive day. The total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus pandemic in East Singhbhum district remains at 370, showing a sign of decline in the pandemic, although there are concerns that the pandemic may see a resurge in the coming days.

According to official data, on Sunday, 29 fresh cases of coronavirus infections were detected in the district. With this, the total number of infections in the city has reached 16,785. On the other hand, 47 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals. With this, the total number of recoveries in the district has reached 16,202.

For now, the district has only 213 active cases of coronavirus infection.

Till date, 3,94,087 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these, 3,74,171 samples have tested negative, while 16,785 samples have tested positive.

The recovery rate for the district has now reached 97%, while the mortality rate remains stable at 2.2%. Positivity rate is 4.5% showing a definite decline in the pandemic.
