Voltage surge damages innumerable household electrical equipments in Mango

Jamshedpur: Sudden voltage surge in power supply in several areas of Mango caused damage to electrical equipments in several households in Mango on Sunday.

The locals complained to the JBVNL officers. The officers reached the affected areas and probed the damage caused as well as the reasons for the power surge.

Locals complained that high voltage has caused damage to several electrical equipments in a large number of households, including T.V., fridge, stabilitizers, fans, air conditioners etc.

The officials of the JBVNL claimed that the surge was caused due to use of bamboos and wooden planks.

They even suspect that the problem might have been caused due to short circuit.

The BJP leader Vikash Singh too toured the affected areas and met the families which complained of damage to electrical equipments. Later, he warned the power distribution department of public agitation if it does not ensure erection of permanent electric poles in the entire area.
