Gymnasiums, bars to open from Nov 1, interstate buses from Nov 8
No relaxation for cinema halls, processions, fairs, sports, schools, colleges or coaching, parks, swimming pools
Jamshedpur: Gymnasiums and bars will open from Sunday, November 1, 2020 outside the containment zones in Jharkhand. Several other relaxations in lockdown rules would also come into effect from November 1, 2020 in Jharkhand as per the order issued by the state government on October 22, 2020.
The order further opens up several sectors of economy to provide relief to the people and to mitigate the impact of lockdown.
According to the order issued on October 22, gymnasiums are permitted to operate outside the containment zones with effect from 1.11.2020 subject to compliance of guidelines dated August 3, 2020 issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Bars will also be permitted to operate outside the containment zones with effect from 1.11.2020 subject to compliance of guidelines dated 4.6.2020 issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for Restaurants.
Interstate bus transport is permitted with effect from 8.11.2020 subject to compliance of guidelines to be issued by Department of Transport and Civil Aviation.
The order revokes the interstate quarantine protocol too and says that all domestic travellers shall self-monitor the symptoms for 14 days in case of interstate travel and shall comply with he guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 24.5.2020 in this regard.
According to the order, all schools, outside the containment zones, are permitted to call the students with the consent of their parents solely for the purpose of registration for various board examinations. The schools shall comply with the directives issued in this regard.
In closed spaces outside the containment zones, congregation of maximum of 50% of hall capacity is permitted, with a ceiling of 200 persons with effect from 1.11.2020 subject to compliance with directives.
In open spaces outside the containment zones, congregation with a ceiling of 200 persons is permitted keeping the size of the ground/space in view with effect from 1.11.2020 subject to compliance of directives.
All economic activities, not specifically prohibited, are permitted outside the containment zones.
However, as per the order issued by the Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, on October 22, 2020, several other activities will remain prohibited.
These include:
- All processions, fairs, exhibitions, sporting events with spectators.
- Schools, colleges, educational, training, coaching institutions etc.
- Cinema halls, swimming pools and entertainment parks.
