Inebriated driver hits pedestrians in Govindpur, nabbed

Jamshedpur: In a case of drunken driving, an uncontrolled car hit several pedestrians near Janata Market under the jurisdiction of Govindpur police station Wednesday night. A woman sustained some injuries. The driver was found in an inebriated condition. The police have taken the driver safely to the police station.

According to information received, a car driver hit against several pedestrians while driving his car in an inebriated state.

The locals stopped the car and informed the police. The police took the youth to the police station.

Police sources say that the youth was found in an inebriated condition and liquor bottles were also found in the car.

After the car hit pedestrians, there was a commotion in the area. The locals stopped the car and nabbed the drunken car driver.

The police are interrogating the driver and trying to find his antecedents.
