Several arrested up by police for social distancing violation

Jamshedpur: Marriage and other functions related service providers and decorators on Wednesday took out a procession in support of their demands and reached the district headquarters. However, many of them were arrested for the administration on the instructions from the ADM for violating lockdown rules and safety norms.

The leaders of the decorators said that the business of people engaged in tent, light, sound, band, flowers providers have been completed affected and come to a standstill. A large number of people associated with such services are now facing unemployment.

They said that the district administration had issued instruction to allow 50 guests in marriage ceremony and a little bit of tent and light is being allowed and used by people. But other businesses related to marriages are completely shut down.

All Decoration Sangharsh Samity today took out a huge rally in support of its demands.

However, the rally was too crowded and when it reached the district headquarters, it turned into a demonstration. The demonstrators urged to the government to allow at least 200 guests in marriages. They said that jharkhand government too should allow 200 guests so that everyone in the field can get opportunities of employment.

However, as soon as the ADM of the district reached the district quarters, he saw a huge crowd of demonstrators. This infuriated him and he started taking action. He got several of the violators of social norms arrested and sent them to camp jail.

The ADM said that FIR would be registered against all those who violated the lockdown rules and social distancing norms.
