NIT Jamshedpur holds Online National Conference on ‘Role of Women in Nation Development’

Jamshedpur: An Online National Conference was organized on ‘Role of Women in Nation Development’ jointly by NIT Jamshedpur and WIT Dehradun under twinning activity sponsored by TEQIP III from 5th September to 6th September.

The Patron of the conference was Prof. Karunesh Kumar Shukla (Director, NIT Jamshedpur), co- patron was R.P.S Gangwar (Director, WIT Deharadun).The chairperson of the conference was Prof. Prabha Chand (Dean FW). Organising secretaries of the conference were Dr. Kumari Namrata, Dr. Dulari Hansdah and Dr. Shwati Sudha.

The conference was called to bring together women involved in Nation Development as per their contribution of work in their respective field of expertise. The women in the field of Engineering, Higher Education, Research and Development, Management, Medicines, Administration and Law, Industry, Entrepreneur, Arts and Social, Media, Agriculture have been provided a platform to present their theoretical work and practical implications.

The aim of the conference was to encourage and regard the duty of women in different sectors and give them a right platform to share their ideas to accelerate security in Nation Development. The conference included virtual keynote addresses paper presentation, plenary and valedictory discussions. The conference has received papers from different organisations. Selected papers will be published as a book chapter with ISBN No. with a publication of repute.
