XLRI Jamshedpur Secures 3rd Place in National Factor Investing Olympiad

Team Medallion from XLRI Wins Rs 2.5 Lakh in Prestigious Investment Challenge

XLRI Jamshedpur’s Team Medallion achieved 2nd Runner Up in the NJ Factor Investing Olympiad, a major annual competition among India’s top business schools, organized by NJ Mutual Fund & Asset Management.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Xavier School of Management’s Team Medallion, from their Xavier Online Learning Post Graduate Diploma in Finance Program, excelled in the NJ Factor Investing Olympiad, securing the third rank.

The team, composed of Ankit Singhal, Divyanshu Raj, Rohan Banerjee, Niket Kulkarni, and Rishav Anand, was guided by Prof. Pankaj Agarwal from XLRI Delhi and claimed a prize of Rs 2.5 lakh.

Their victory was announced during the award ceremony held on April 27, 2024, at Hotel Le Meridian in Surat, Gujarat.

The competition drew 69 teams from 30 prestigious business schools, providing a platform to apply smart beta strategies and enhance investment decision-making skills through practical, informed approaches.

Finalists in the challenge included notable institutions like IIMA, IIM Nagpur, BITS Pilani, and others, with XLRI Jamshedpur being one of the top contenders.

The top honors went to IIMA Team 1 with a prize of Rs 5 lakh, followed by Pandit Deendayal Energy University with Rs 3.75 lakh, and XLRI Jamshedpur at Rs 2.5 lakh.

Team Medallion expressed their gratitude for the learning opportunity the competition provided, acknowledging the guidance of Professors H K Pradhan and N Sivasankaran and the faculty’s role in preparing them for real-life financial market challenges.
