Corona kills 8 more people on Friday in Jamshedpur, total death toll 160

132 more people test positive for Covid-19, 180 cured and discharged in East Singhbhum district

Jamshedpur: Corona has taken 8 more lives, 5 women and 3 men, in East Singhbhum district Friday taking the total death toll to 160. All deceased had co-morbidities too.

The deceased include a 48-year-old woman from Nimdih in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
According to information received Friday late night, among the deceased was a 60-year-old woman from Agrico. She was admitted in TMH on August 19 with fever and breathing problems and she died due to complications late Friday morning.

A 67-year-old woman died in Tata Motors Hospital. She was a resident of Telco.

Another 85-year-old woman from Burmamines region also succumbed to Corona.

A Sonari resident 59-year-old woman too died.

An 81-year-old man from Kadma too has died of Corona. A 90-year-old man from Ghorabandha and a 73-year-old Telco resident too have died.

Till date 160 people from Jamshedpur have died of Corona.

Meanwhile, according to official data there are 2447 active cases in the East Singhbhum district as on Friday.

The recovery rate in the district is only 46.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, according to the data from the district administration, 132 more persons have tested positive in East Singhbhum district on Friday, while 180 persons were cured and discharged.
