City police crack Moni Das murder case within 72 hours, six arrested and sent to jail

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Police have cracked the Moni Das murder case and arrested six persons in this connection. All six have been sent to judicial custody.

Moni Das was killed on last Thursday in Mahanand Basti.

Police have arrested six persons and recovered one locally-made firearm (desi katta), three country-made pistols, clothes worn at the time of incident, 5 mobiles and 2 bikes.

The Mahanand Basti youth, Moni Das, who was shot dead by unknown assailants on Thursday last when he was sitting in his shop.

He was rushed to MGMCH for after being shot, but he was declared dead at the hospital.

The police had started investigations on the basis of the statement of the brother of the deceased.

The police cracked the case easily and arrested Sunny Thakur, Babli Das, Pawan Kumar, Pankaj Manjhi and Rohit Mishra.

Police said that all six have accepted their involvement in the firing.

Police say that the mastermind of the murder is one Bhim Kamat, who is presently in jail.

Police said that Bhim Kamat has got this entire crime executed through one Krishna Gope, who too is in jail.

The murder is related to an attempt to capture the material supply business.

Babli Das, Pawan Kumar, Pankaj Manjhi and Rohit Mishra are residents of Adityapur. Babli Das and Rohit Mishra have had criminal antecedents and have been sent ot jail in several other cases.
