Corona death toll for city now four, 22 new cases, total now 675


Total infections now 675, 10 cured on Tuesday
Jamshedpur: Corona is continuing to be a cause for concern for the citizens of Jamshedpur. It has killed one woman from Kadma, Bhatia Bustee and has also killed one woman from Jamadoba being treated in TMH on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 22 new cases have been identified in East Singhbhum district too. The total number of infections has now gone up to 675 and is expected to cross the figure of 700 within a couple of days.

10 persons were also cured on Tuesday and discharged from hospitals.

Those who have been found Covid-19 positive today include one with a travel history to Chennai, one to Bengal, one to Bengaluru and two to Bihar.

One of the new cases is from Baharagora, six from Bagbera, one from Parsudih, one from Burmamines, three from mango, one from Jugsalai, one from Karandih, one from Ghorabandha, one from Sonari, one from Baridih, one from Birsanagar and four from Kadma.

Earlier in the day, a woman from Jamadoba (West Bokaro) succumbed to complications caused by Covid-19 Tuesday in TMH. Another 50-year-old woman, a resident of Kadma Bhatia Bustee, has also succumbed to the disease. This takes the Corona-related death toll in the city to four plus one woman from Jamadoba who died today.

The deceased woman from Kadma Bhatia Bustee was admitted in TMH on Monday morning. During treatment her condition worsened. She was living in a containment zone. Her sample test report was positive. She was admitted in the hospital on Monday.

In all, Covid-19 has caused four deaths in Jharkhand on Tuesday. One death has been reported from Gumla, where a 65-year-old patient died in RIMS during treatment. Another 52-year-old person from Ranchi also died in RIMS.
