Jamshedpur: Six more persons have been identified as Covid-19 positive in the state. This takes the total number of infected persons in the district to 653.

Out of the 6 new cases, one has had a travel history to Kolkata, one of Ahmedabad. Four others have no travel history.

Out of the six new cases, one lives in Agrico, one is from Bistupur, two are from Mango, one is from Golmuri and one is from Hume Pipe Road, Sakchi.

Monday brought a big respite for the city reeling from third death from Corona Saturday night.

All the new positive patients are now being admitted in the Covid ward of local hospitals.

The administration has started taking tough measures to thwart the spread of Corona in the district.

It may be added here that the administration has ordered closure of all vegetable markets in the city to ensure that they are sanitised thoroughly. This order would be implemented every week.

Intense checking drives have also been launched in different parts of the city. People without masks are being rounded up.

The administration has now also made it clear that anyone who goes out in public without wearing a mask would be rounded up and sent to jail. Businesses that flout the social distancing norms would also be made to face law.
