Five new Covid-19 cases in East Singhbhum on Thursday, total 606

Police to deal strictly with those who do not wear mask in public, arrest possible

Jamshedpur: Five more persons have been found Covid-19 positive in East Singhbhum district on Thursday. With this, the number of infection cases in East Singhbhum district has reached 606 now.

Out of the five new cases, one is a resident of Kadma, one is from Sonari, one from Agrico, one from Golmuri and one from Baridih.

On the other hand, 17 Corona persons have also been cured and discharged from hospitals in the city.

The number of fresh cases has been on the rise in the city in the recent times. Yesterday, 17 persons had tested positive in East Singhbhum district.

The total number of cases in East Singhbhum now has reached 606. In West Singhbhum the total number of cases is 79, while in neighbouring Seraikela district it is 100.

All these positive persons are now being admitted in the Covid ward of local hospitals.

Worried over the steady rise in the number of cases in the city, the administration has reiterated its appeal to the people to comply with all the necessary precautions and has also decided to deal strictly with those who do not abide by social distancing and lockdown norms.

The administration has now made it clear that anyone who goes out in public without wearing a mask would be rounded up and sent to jail.
