JMM and BJP indulge in verbal spat over Dumka seat

Jamshedpur: Taking a swipe at Babulal Marandi’s call to defeat JMM in next Dumka by-elections and pave the way for fall of Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand, JMM has said it seems Jharkhand BJP has still not forgotten the defeat in Jharkhand Assembly elections as well as on Dumka seat.

It said that the feudal approach of BJP will force it to bite the dust again, while the people of Jharkhand will celebrate their victory.

It also took a jibe at lack of freedom in BJP to raise questions and referred to foreign policy mishandling by the NDA government at the centre.

The verbal duel started with BJP Jharkhand tweeting a news item relating to Babulal Marandi’s rally in Dumka on Saturday published in a popular daily.

Mr. Marandi on Saturday had said that the Hemant Soren-led government lacks a vision and does not have a definite roadmap as it has been built upon false promises.

In a caustic reference to Hemant Soren’s presence on Twitter and other social media accounts, he said that the people of Dumka will send a strong message to the “Twitter government’.

Furkan Ahmad of JMM was quick to respond. Reacting to Marandi’s statement, he said that BJP will lose its deposit in the oncoming by-elections on Dumka seat.

However, the official handle of JMM was quick to reply too. And it did not stop only there. It followed up with another jibe at Babulal Marandi saying that he does not have any freedom to ask any questions to the centre or any of his friends in power in other states.

Keeping the pressure on, it also followed up with another jibe at the foreign policy of the central government citing a tweet from Subramanian Swamy who had stressed the need to RESET the foreign policy.
