JAMSHEDPUR – Manindra Kumar Chaudhary, a renowned former journalist and the personal secretary to the former Chief Minister and current Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, has passed away.

His death was confirmed today, marking a significant loss in the fields of journalism and politics.

According to the information received, he passed away today at Tata Main Hospital.

Choudhary was admitted to the hospital at 3:30 AM following a brain stroke and, despite critical condition, was initially placed on life support due to unavailability of beds in the CCU.

He was later moved to the HDU at 7:45 AM.

The medical team, closely monitoring his condition, faced challenges as Choudhary suffered two heart attacks between 1 and 2 PM, which further aggravated his situation.

The doctors, recognizing the severity of his condition, called his family members to be by his side before he passed away at around 3 PM.

Throughout Das’s various tenures, Choudhary was instrumental in managing the Jamshedpur office and addressing public and worker-related issues.

Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das, expressing his deep sorrow, described Choudhary’s death as an irreparable loss.

His extensive network of personal and professional connections, built over decades in journalism, earned him high regard among his peers, including senior journalists.

As the personal secretary to Raghubar Das, Chaudhary was known for his effective handling of responsibilities and his sociable demeanor.

His wit, poetic flair, and clever aphorisms were well-known characteristics.

Chaudhary’s death is a significant loss, leaving behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and numerous friends and admirers.
