Former CM Hemant Soren’s Cousin Anup Tuddu Passes Away in Seraikela-Kharsawan

50-year-old succumbs to kidney ailment, leaving Chandil block in mourning

Jamshedpur’s neighboring district grieves the loss of Hemant Soren’s relative, highlighting the impact of hereditary health issues in the family.

JAMSHEDPUR – Anup Tuddu, 50, cousin of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, died Sunday evening after a prolonged battle with kidney disease.

"Tuddu had been undergoing dialysis for years, refusing a recommended transplant," a family source revealed.

The deceased, a resident of Chakulia village in Chandil block, was rushed to Brahmanand Superspeciality Hospital in Mango, where he was pronounced dead.

Soren Basant, Hemant’s elder brother, has arrived in Chakulia, with Soren Kalpana expected to join later for the last rites.

"Despite his illness, Anup remained actively involved in agriculture," a neighbor recalled, praising his resilience.

Tragically, Tuddu’s family has a history of kidney ailments, with his elder brother Tuddu Kishore succumbing to the same disease three years ago.

Bagi Kapoor, the eldest brother, is currently battling a similar kidney condition.

Tuddu’s passing has cast a pall of sorrow over the Chandil block, where he was known for his dedication to farming.

The incident highlights the need for increased awareness and medical support for hereditary health issues in rural areas.

Community members remember Tuddu for his vigor and commitment to agriculture despite his health challenges.
