Seraikela: Kharsawan police station has arrested Permanent Warranty, who was absconding for the last eight years in a rape case, and sent him to jail in judicial custody. To avoid arrest, the accused had changed his identity and was living in another district, but after continuous surveillance and technical investigation by the police, he came under the clutches of the law.
According to the police, in the case registered under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code in Kharsawan police station case number 08/18, dated 7 February 2018, a permanent warrant was issued against the accused Patui Boypai (43). The accused is a resident of Jatratand village of Kharsawan police station area and was absconding for a long time.
Kharsawan police had received secret information that the accused was living in Chaibasa area under the name Kedar Boypai to hide his identity. After confirming the information, the police monitored his activities with the help of technical and human information system. After this, a planned raid was conducted and he was arrested.
After the arrest, the accused was brought to Kharsawan police station, where after completing the necessary legal process, he was presented in the court. On the instructions of the court, he was sent to jail in judicial custody.
Police station in-charge Gaurav Kumar said that the accused was continuously trying to escape from the police by changing his location for many years. After receiving secret information, his surveillance was increased and eventually he was arrested.
He said that the police is continuously conducting operations for the arrest of absconding accused and execution of pending warrants. No criminal will be allowed to escape the law.
The police have also appealed to the common citizens to immediately inform the police if they get information about any absconding criminal or suspicious activity. The identity of the person giving information will be kept completely confidential.
This action taken under the special operation of the police is being considered a big success for crime control and arrest of absconding accused in Kharsawan police station area.
